The Jefferson Barracks Telephone Museum was presented with the Pioneer Project Excellence Award in Education “For outstanding volunteer service contributions and overall cumulative impact in the area of Education.”
The award was presented to Ken Schaper, Assistant Director, at the Pioneer Leadership Conference at Hilton Head, South Carolina on March 3, 2017. Ken accepted the award on behalf of all the volunteers who gave of their time, talent and monetary support to make the museum possible for generations to come.
For those individuals who are no longer with us and to those who continue to volunteer and give of themselves for the betterment of the museum and the community, we thank you and are so very grateful for you and your indomitable spirit.
Enjoy nostalgia from the early years of the telephone. It’s a fun family adventure, an educational field trip for students and an enjoyable group outing.
