Located just five minutes from the I-255/I-55/I-270 interchange, the Jefferson Barracks Telephone Museum is an easy stop to make while traveling to and from many popular Missouri and Illinois tourist destinations.
Guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more and should be scheduled at least two weeks before the tour. We offer a one hour group tour lead by experienced docents but the tour’s length can be modified based on your group’s needs. We are open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. but we will be happy to accommodate your group at another time if needed.
Please contact us at (314) 416-8004 to schedule your visit.
Accessibility
The museum is located all on one floor and we have a wheelchair ramp and entrance on the east side of our building. We also have accessible parking and an accessible restroom. Chairs are also located throughout the museum in the event a short break is needed.
Parking
There is plenty of free parking located directly behind the museum which can accommodate cars, trucks and vans, motor coaches, buses and recreational vehicles.
Please do not disembark your passengers in front of the museum on Hancock Avenue. From Hancock Avenue, turn onto Cameron Street and make an immediate right turn onto the service road. The Jefferson Barracks Telephone Museum is the last building.
Admission Fee Payment
The admission fee for groups can be paid on the day of your visit. If possible, we ask that the entire group's fee be paid by one person so your group has less waiting in line and we can start your tour as quickly as possible. We accept cash, credit cards and debit cards.
